If there’s a birth surge 9 months from now, Alicia Keys and Maxwell are to blame. The sultry duo brought their steamy duet, “Fire We Make,” to life, and as the title suggests, it’s hot.

Directed by Chris Robinson, the vintage video takes place in a New Orleans hotel owned by Alicia’s mother. Alicia narrates their love story, starting with the moment they met–Max checking into their French Quarter hotel.

Evidently Max’s presence made Keys so hot that she had to cool herself down with chunks of ice. Sensual explosions happen throughout the 5-minute visual, but the expected love scene never occurs. It doesn’t lessen the effectiveness of the video, though. Subtle sexiness deserves to be lauded in a day when artists leave little to nothing to the imagination.
