Usher hit the 2011 Grammy Nominations Concert to perform Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s classic duet “You’re All I Need to Get By.” Valerie Simpson, the widow of the late Nick Ashford, joined him. She continued playing the piano as Usher gave a stirring rendition of “Stand By Me.”

The nominations for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards were announced earlier tonight at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. During the special, only the big four – Album, Record and Song of the Year, and Best New Artist – were announced. LL Cool J hosted the event, while Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Usher, Valerie Simpson, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland and more performed.

Lady Gaga opened the 2011 Grammy Nominations Concert with a performance of “Marry The Night,” a single lifted from her Born This Way album. The video for “Marry The Night” will premiere in a half-hour special, exclusively on E!, on December 1st.

Televised singing, dancing and DJing competitions are already spread throughout major networks. Now, a reality competition seeking America’s Next Top Rapper is underway. Trina, the most consistent female in rap, will serve as one of the hosts. Producer Rockwilder and video director X joins her as the remaining judges.

The three judges will search for up and coming talent in different cities and the winner will receive several prizes. Those prizes include a video shoot with X, a track produced by Rockwilder and a Universal Music distribution deal. Diddy and Pharrell are in Florida for the 10th Annual Art Basel Miami Fair. Diddy wore a Chester Cheetos-esque sweater, while Pharrell sported vagabond couture – accentuated by a Mickey Mouse police hat.
Miami’s edition of Art Basel begins on Thursday and runs through the weekend. Some 50,000 visitors will explore “the most prestigious art show in the Americas.”
Last night, Victoria’s Secret broadcasted their 2011 fashion show on CBS. Maroon 5 hit the stage sans Christina Aguilera to perform “Moves Like Jagger.” Kanye West performed “Stronger,” then hit the stage with Jay-Z for “N*ggas In Paris.” Nicki Minaj gave a bizarre rendition of “Super Bass,” which made many question her extreme popularity.
