Tip recalls his troublesome past on “Trap Back Jumpin“, a random DJ Toomp-produced release that name-drops a few drugs, chronicles his hustlin’ days and his long stint with the street life to “show these sucka n-gg-s how it go“.
Not sure why T.I. would want that trap life back; the premiere episode of his family-focused VH1 show, ‘Family Hustle‘, raked in over 4 million views and he’s preparing the release of ‘Trouble & Triumph: A Novel Of Power & Beauty’-the sequel to last year’s ‘Power & Beauty’. Not to mention, he has a role as “Trey” on this season of the Kelsey Grammer-starring, Starz political-drama Boss.
By the way, that forthcoming album isn’t coming forth anytime soon. A blur of records were released in support of the project, but not much has caught on. Here’s to a steady comeback for Trouble Man, expecting completion by the top of next year.
“We’re perfecting what we have and recognizing the opportunity to present a hip-hop classic,” he says.
