What’s one to do once they’ve lost their edge? They participate in contrived promotional stunts, including posing with prosthetic arms, walking nude in a field and calling their subpar music art.
The gaga lady kind of explained the need for the prosthetic limb on Twitter.
“I know maybe this upsets you, as you’d very much like to hear it,” she tweeted to her nearly 40 million followers. “i share these personal feelings because IF I HAD TO GO ANOTHER MONTH WITHOUT PLAYING THE NEW MUSIC I THINK ID CHEW MY ARM OFF.”
“Applause,” the lead single from ARTPOP, is due out on August 19th.
