The fifth episode of the upcoming season of Community may be the last time we hear Donald Glover’s Troy Barnes say, “Troy and Abed In The Morning!” with Danny Pudi’s Abed Nadir, but it won’t be the last time we hear Donald on TV.
Donald is set to write, executive produce and play the lead in FX’s Atlanta, a half-hour comedy set against the backdrop of Atlanta’s music scene, Deadline reports. It’s quite a fitting project, considering Glover is from Atlanta and is quite the musician. Read More →
VH1 is celebrating the greatest girl group of all time with a biopic starring Lil’ Mama, Keke Palmer and Drew Sidora as Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins.
The trailer for CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story is very promising. It showcases the leading ladies reenacting TLC’s most iconic videos. Despite the backlash, I don’t think the casting could have been better, and the production is impeccable. Read More →
While Fox scrambles to find permanent judges for their talent shows, American Idol and The X Factor, NBC is rotating The Voice‘s judging panel with no drama included.

Zoë Saldaña playing Nina Simone only makes sense to Zoë Saldaña and contrarians. In a recent interview, Aretha Franklin chimed in on the latina actress playing Nina.
AP: Some people are upset because Zoe Saldana is playing Nina Simone in that biopic and they don’t believe she resembles Simone.
Franklin: I did know Nina and I would have liked to see someone with a little more of a likeness and hopefully played the piano. But I don’t know Ms. Saldana’s work and Hollywood can do a lot of things in terms of changing your features and all of that. Read More →
