Ashanti undeniably conquered urban radio in the early 2000s. After the lackluster performance of her latest album, The Declaration (2008), the “Princess Of Hip-Hop & R&B” took time away from the spotlight. Since, she has left Irv Gotti’s The Inc. Records and ventured out on her own with Written Entertainment, a label under eOne Music.

The Jerry Wonder-produced “The Woman You Love,” featuring Busta Rhymes, is the first single released under the partnership. It was released days ago and is available on iTunes for purchase.

President of eOne Music Alan Grunblatt spoke on the partnership:

Ashanti also spoke on her new independent venture,
