In celebration of 10 years at the top, Alicia Keys held an intimate concert at the Beacon Theatre in New York City (June 30). Assisted by 14-hour candles and a grand piano, the NY native captivated the audience which she describes as her “family.”
The 14-time Grammy winner covered The Beatles‘ ’68 hit “Black Bird,” Mary J. Blige‘s “Real Love” and Marvin Gaye‘s ’72 hit “Trouble Man.” She admitted to stealing one of her idol’s - Brian McKnight - song, “Never Felt This Way.” After joking with the audience, the soulful queen performed her rendition of Prince‘s “How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore.”
There were so many highlights throughout the show, it would be hard to choose a specific moment. AOL and VEVO made a live stream available for the world to see. Watch Alicia Keys’ “Piano & I” concert below…
