I, Ronald Williams, launched iAmBoiGenius.com on August 1, 2010, as a platform to sarcastically rant, critically review and truthfully interpret entertainment news.
Being a music aficionado and indulger of popular culture, I focused IABG on contemporary R&B, Rap and Pop recording artists. Of course events not particularly related to music are sprinkled here and there. How could I not cover T.I. and Tiny’s arrest, Gucci Mane’s ice cream tattoo, Kanye West snatching Taylor Swift’s mic, Chris Brown’s temper tantrums, etc.?
Before I forget, let me announce that I am not a Mensan; I’m not even sure if I have a high IQ. Sarcasm is one of my key attributes, thus a sarcastic name was more than fitting. When I would have a momentary lapse in awareness (aka a blonde moment), my family would make said awkward moments everlasting by sarcastically saying: “Ok, Boy Genius.” I dropped the “y” and added an “I” because the former was already taken. There isn’t any pretentious undertones involved.
