Alicia Keys Debuts ‘Brand New Me’ At iTunes Festival

Alicia Keys is currently overseas on a promotional run for her forthcoming album, Girl On Fire (11/27). Earlier this evening, the “Girl On Fire” lit up the stag at The Roundhouse in London for the iTunes Festival. The Grammy-winning diva performed a string of her classics, including “Fallin’,” “A Woman’s Worth” and a reggae version of “You Don’t Know My Name.”

However, the tune that stole the show is quite possibly her most introspective song yet–“Brand New Me.” She co-wrote the song with budding talent, Emeli Sandé, who also contributed to Keys’ “Not Even the King.” The lyrics are subtly directed to people who have negatively criticized in regards to her life decisions. Bruno Mars Covers BILLBOARD: Talks New Album ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’

Bruno Mars rocks a curly fro on the cover of Billboard. The “Grenade” launcher tells the magazine that he will release his sophomore album, Unorthodox Jukebox, on December 11th, preceded by his “energetic” lead single, “Locked Out of Heaven,” due out on October 1st.

He enlisted producers Mark Ronson, Jeff Bhasker, Emile Haynie, Diplo and Supa Dups for the record. Like his Doo-Wops & Hoolians debut, his songwriting and production team, the Smeezingtons, contributed heavily to ‘Jukebox’. Read More »
