The 2012 Billboard Awards were held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The event honored singers, rappers and musicians that have made high accomplishments on the Billboard charts.

John Legend and Jordin Sparks paid tribute to Whitney Houston by performing solo renditions of “The Greatest Love of All” and “I Will Always Love You” respectively. Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Christina, and her dear friend, Pat Houston, accepted the Millennium Award.

Goodie Mob and Natasha Bedingfield honored the Beastie Boy’s Adam “MCA” Yauch and Donna Summer

Alicia Keys presented Stevie Wonder with the Billboard Icon Award and joined him on stage for a duet of “Higher Ground” and “Overjoyed.” Robin Thicke, Wiz Khalifa, Brandy, Monica, Swizz Beatz and Gladys Knight were among the presenters, and Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson, Linkin Park, Nelly Furtado, Usher, Carrie Underwood and Justin Bieber were among the performers.
