Common Premieres “Blue Sky” Video

Common releases the second video supporting his No I.D.-produced album The Dream, The Believer, due out December 2011. Blue Sky” is the follow-up to the Nas-assisted “Ghetto Dreams.”

In the video, a ballet dancer, violinist, basketball player, writer and painter practice their crafts while Common performs the song while lying on the bed, and a singer sings the hook while sitting at the window. An expectant mother is sitting in a tub of water… the correlation, you tell me.

Waka Flocka Explains Relationship W/ Suge Knight, Announces New Album Title & Performs W/ Odd Future

Last night, Waka Flocka Flame hit the stage at Center Stage in Atlanta with Tyler, the Creator and his Odd Future minions. They performed “Karma,” “Keep It Real” and “B*tch Suck D*ck.” During the extremely hype performance, Tyler exclaimed, “that was so f*cking cool,” while Waka changed, “Wolf Gang, Brick Squad!”

Meanwhile, the Futuristic Blogger interviewed Waka, where he discussed his relationship with Suge Knight, explained his “Gucci Mane Home” Tweet and revealed the title of his new album: Triple F Life (Friends Fans & Family). The album is expected to drop in December 2011.

Watch out Solange and DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown (Erykah Badu)! A new singer-turned-DJ is in the mix. Last night, Grammy-winning soulstress Alicia Keys made her DJing debut at YOTEL, a swanky hotel in New York City. DJ and producer husband Swizz Beatz kept a close eye on Alicia as she handled the boards for over an hour. Swizzy was so impressed that he dubbed her DJ AK-47.

Moments ago, Mary J. Blige premiered the video for “25/8,” the lead single from Mary’s tenth studio album My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act I), on VEVO. Diane Martel (Ciara’s “Ride,” Nicki Minaj’s “Right Thru Me”) directed the clip.
