Janelle Monáe is an artist who never gives less than 200% and always release quality music, for that I love her; however, how much longer can this costume and James Brown inspired act continue until it’s a bore? I want her to stray away from it immediately and start her own lane. Nevertheless, this was a great performance overall.
Tiffany Evans returns with her new power ballad “I’ll Be There“. Her stunning vocals are backed by a simple piano melody which leads to heavy drums. It’s impressive that an 18 year old possess the vocal power that Tiffany does, and resonates it over lyrics assuring a friend that she’ll always be there for them.A+
Above is the official album cover for Marsha Ambrosius‘ solo debut, Late Nights & Early Mornings. In the cover Marsha appears to have had a late night somewhere and possibly leaving in the morning…She announced on Ustream that the title actually means how hard she work during Late Nights & Early Mornings…hmm. She’s very sarcastic, so we probably won’t know the real meaning of the title until we hear the album which drops on November 9th.
50 Cent and Jeremih collab on another track, the remix to Jeremih’s “5 Senses“. I see 50 has added spoken word to his resume. ”Love All Night” is a bonus track on Jeremih’s album, All About You. It has the potential to be a good song, but he sounds young. shrugs
Keri Hilson is looking stunning on her new single cover for her second single “Pretty Girls“. Her highly anticipated sophmore effort No Boys Allowed is set for a December release. Keri is really on the move with these “girl power” female anthems. “Pretty Girls” was produced by Chuck Harmony and Ne-Yo. Click here to watch the video to Keri’s previous female anthem, “Breaking Point“.
Ciara released her second official video, “Speechless” for her upcoming album Basic Instinct. The simplicity of the video matches the mood of the mellow song. It’s a very classy and sensual video, and it will air on BET. This is a good look for Ci-Ci. Check out the video & screenshots below. Read More →
Jesse Boykins III puts a unique twist on Kanye’s “Runaway”. Smoke DZA also adds a verse.
Runaway: a person or vehicle that is running out of control.
“I feel like most of us, try and compromise with love and put ourselves thru relationships that are clearly not good for our health, which drives us to do things to pacify the confusion. When the overall best thing to do is let it go.†– Jesse Boykins III
“Smoke one for the G.O.O.D. guys†– Smoke DZA, inspired by Kanye West.
Yeah I know it’s only Wednesday, but the King of Douches decided to give us a taste of his new album. Kanye is unsure whether or not he want it to be his next single, and I’m sure I don’t like it. The auto-tune murders my ears. What should have been “Lost in the World” is this song. Check it out below. Read More →
