Earlier this month, Nelly found himself on the wrong side of the law and media. While in Texas, law enforcement confiscated heroin, marijuana and a handgun from his tour bus. Although Nelly wasn’t charged for any crime, a member of his entourage, Brian Keith, was arrested.

Nelly Speaks On His ‘Cold’ Career
Nelly sat down with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club to discuss the current state of his career, dating Ashanti and inspiring Flo Rida’s style. As expected, Charlamagne tried to label Nelly as a has-been, to which Nelly responded: “I only had one record that didn’t have a number one record on. The last record I put out, I had a number one record. I sold five million records. Put out six singles.”
He continued by speaking on the state of the rap game.
“It’s definitely a young man’s game and it’s about survival. You get to a point where it’s just about turning pages. When you old not as in age, but old as in you been in the game for a minute, like 12+ years, it’s been a long time,” he said. “Nothing continues to excel. It’s called a career for a reason. You got your ups, you got your downs. But as long as you around, that’s the thing.”
Nelly Talks Business Ventures & Reality TV On Fallon; Performs ‘Hot In Herre’
Nelly may no longer be a prominent force in popular rap music, but he’s still staying busy. He sat down on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to discuss his various business ventures.
He has partnered with Vatterott College in St. Louis for Extreme Institute, a trade school that teaches students the behind-the-scenes duties of the music business. He also discussed his Queen Latifah-produced The CW competition show, The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep.
Like everyone else with access to VH1 and Bravo, Nelly is addicted to reality TV. However, his choice of shows is quite interesting. He admitted to being intrigued by Bridezillas and Duck Dynasty.
Before leaving ‘Fallon’, he performed his 2002 smash hit, “Hot In Herre,” with The Roots.

Nelly Ft. Chris Brown – ‘Marry Go ‘Round’
Who ever thought the day would come when Nelly and T.I. were struggling to produce a hit? Unfortunately, that day is upon us. It has been difficult watching T.I. crash and burn, now his good friend Nelly has hopped in the passenger side.
He recruits Chris Brown for “Merry Mary Marry Go ‘Round,” an uptempo track from his forthcoming album, M.O.. I’ve listened like six times, and I’m not moved.
T.I. Confirms B.o.B & Taylor Swift Collaboration
While in Austin for South by Southwest (SXSW), FUSE caught up with T.I. and his protégé B.o.B. The Man and the Martian, their collective name, were asked to confirm the rumor about Taylor Swift appearing on B.o.B’s sophomore album, Strange Clouds (due out May 1). Bobby Ray chose to “neither confirm nor deny,” but Tip decided to put the rumors to rest and announce the collab. Could Bob and Taylor’s duet be as big as his duet with Paramore’s Hayley Williams (“Airplanes”)? T.I. also spoke on Grand Hustle’s latest signees – Iggy Azalea, Chip, D.O.P.E. and Trae. Before leaving, he revealed his upcoming album, Trouble Man, is scheduled to release between June and August.

Idol winner Jordin Sparks celebrated her 22nd birthday The Tropicana in Las Vegas. She flaunted her svelte body in a form-fitting animal print dress, with her mom by her side. Oddly enough, video model hunter Flava Flav was also in the spot.
Willow Smith caused a media frenzy on Rodeo Drive with her older brother Jaden. The pint-size pop star donned a wig inspired by her “Fireball” co-star Nicki Minaj. Hopefully Will and Jada don’t allow this to become a trend.
