Before taking home the Academy Award for “Best Original Song,” Adele gave an effortlessly breathtaking performance of “Skyfall,” the latest Bond theme. Produced by Paul Epworth, the dramatic tune is the first Bond theme to take home an Oscar.
Prior to Adele’s showcase, Jennifer Hudson and Dame Shirley Bassey, Queen of Bond themes, delivered unforgettable renditions of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” and “Goldfinger.”

Clive paid tribute to Whitney Houston, who tragically passed in the very hotel a year prior, by sharing a rare video of his mentee singing “All the Man That I Need” during a tribute concert for the troops. “She was the greatest contemporary singer of our lifetime,” Davis said. He extended an invitation to Whitney’s mother Cissy Houston, but she deemed the gesture “obscene” and refused to attend.
Samsung hosted a Dreamgirls reunion of sorts at their Galaxy “Shangri-La” party in New Orleans. Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy winners Jennifer Hudson and Jamie Foxx reunited for a duet at the Super Bowl party.
Later today at the Super Bowl, J. Hud will sing “America the Beautiful” with the 26-piece Sandy Hook elementary school chorus. Jennifer is an appropriate choice for the position considering she too survived an unimaginable personal tragedy.

She even reveals that while filming for Dreamgirls, she was summoned to have her lip injected.
“When I did Dreamgirls I actually had to get my dent right here injected because it was affecting the lighting,” she says pointing at her lip. “When I got it done, the doctor was like: ‘I do not want to do this do you realize people come in here and pay to have the lips you have naturally.’ And I was like: ‘I don’t want to but I have to for the movie!’”
