Despite that obvious fact, let’s recap some buzz worthy moments.

Rihanna To Oprah: ‘I Have Forgiven & Still Love Chris Brown’ [Full Episode]

“I thought I hated Chris [Brown], but it was love that was tarnished,” Rihanna tells Oprah on the latest installment of Next Chapter.

Rihanna opened up like never before regarding her current feelings towards her ex-boyfriend and one-time abuser. She says she has forgiven and still loves Brown, despite the media and onlookers harboring harsh feelings towards him. Restoring the relationship with her father helped her come to a point where she could forgive him.

The interview also has some jovial moments. Rihanna drives Oprah to her old home in Barbados, which is being occupied by a man detached from Pop culture (I’m assuming). They conclude the episode by unveiling a mansion Rih bought for her mother.

Rihanna Reflects On Chris Brown Assault With Oprah: ‘I Was More Concerned About Him’

Rihanna breaks down while telling Oprah about the emotional turmoil she experienced following the infamous 2009 incident with then-boyfriend Chris Brown.

I lost my best friend… like everything I knew, switched–switched in a night,” she emotionally tells Oprah. “And I couldn’t control that… So, I had to deal with that, and that is not easy for me to understand or… interpret. And it’s not easy to interpret on camera–not with the world watching.”

“As angry as I was–as angry and hurt and betrayed–I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help,” she reveals. “And who’s going to help him? Nobody’s going to say: ‘he needs help’. Everybody’s going to say: ‘he’s a monster’, without looking at the source. And I was more concerned about–him.”
