America’s X Factor is making some key changes in its second season, but hold your bucket for tears…it isn’t surprising. A rep for Fox confirms that panelists, Nicole Scherzinger, and host, Steve Jones, will both discontinue their roles on the hit singing competition.
Scherzinger has stated that her decision is so that she may focus more on her music, which took a back seat to the show that filmed six days a week — a schedule she seemed unprepared for. Jones, however, is more of a boot-likely due to unfavorable comparisons to Idol’s Ryan Seacrest.

“She wants to focus on her music career,” a source said. “She’s spoken to Simon [Cowell] and he’s given her his blessing.”
