Since September 17th, peaceful “occupy” demonstrations protesting economic injustices - spearheaded by corporate America - have spread all over the United States and the world.
Saturday, pop superstar Katy Perry and her husband Russell Brand were spotted with Hip-Hop mogul Russell Simmons in Zuccotti Park in downtown Manhattan, to support the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Thursday, Brand published his thoughts on the “Occupy” movement.
“It occurs that the relentless charge of vagueness leveled at this movement may be it’s great strength. The reason there is no candid agenda is because a spiritual shift this seismic is initially difficult to legislate.”
Hopefully, Perry inspires other pop superstars to use their celebrity to support the man who is the reason their names are well known. Other celebrities who have supported the cause include Kanye West, Raheem DeVaughn and Dr. Cornel West.
