Does Drake Make Better Music Than Chris Brown? He Thinks So

If you were under the impression that rappers weren’t as sensitive as their R&B counterparts, you couldn’t be more wrong.

Drake follows Jay-Z by unleashing a few bottled emotions of his own. Instead of breaking his silence on wax, he spoke on his rumored feud with The Weeknd, Rick Ross’ rape lyric and beef with Pusha T with Rap Radar’s in-house cackler, Elliott Wilson.

The highlight of the interview, however, was his sharp thoughts on Chris Brown. Of course Chris caught wind of the rant, but instead of an infamous Twitter tirade, he simply tweeted, “Lol.”

On Chris Brown… For any media outlet that listens to this interview, don’t ask me shit about that man when I come up there and leave that man alone. Stop praying on his insecurities. His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I’m more poppin’ than him and that at one point in life, the woman that he loves fell into my lap. I did what a real ni**a would do and treated her with respect, so she not up there talking down on me. All those things combined create an individual that comes up to your radio station and is just gonna do dumb shit. It shouldn’t be about tearing that man down; it shouldn’t be about wanting to see me and him tear each other down. We have a issue and it’s either gonna drag out or maybe in 10 years we’ll laugh about it over drinks. Just let us solve that shit. ‘Cause it’s not me and Kendrick; it’s not me and Hov. You’re not gonna get anything out of it. I don’t want to hear that man rap. Nobody wants to hear me rap against him. I really do this shit. You’re not even gonna get anything out of it. I just urge the media to leave that shit alone. Let him put out the whatever project X or whatever that shit he’s working on. I’m gonna put out this real shit for the people.

You don’t wanna see two young black men tear each other down. I understand when it’s entertaining when you feel like you might get some music out of it, but at the end of the day, nothing good can come of that situation, just leave that shit alone. And that’s part of the reason why I don’t go up to radio. Sit up there and talk, talk, talk all the time. I don’t wanna talk. People talk themselves into a mess. Playing my beat when he comes up there and try to get him to rap. C’mon man. That shit is like terrible, man.

I feel for him, too. Every interview he does, they talk about me. It is what it is. I’m focused on this album and on everything else we got going on. I’m not thinking about that man at all…or that girl. Straight up.”

That’s a lot to say about someone you’re not thinking about. Hearing Chris’ name obviously irritates Drake. Maybe he should oblige the boxing offer.

Initially, when choosing which of the two made better music, I promptly selected Drake. Upon further thought, I went with Chris. I can’t remember the last time I listened to Thank Me Later, Take Care or his best body of work to date, So Far Gone. In contrast, I’ve listened to Chris’ debut album, Exclusive and some cuts from Graffiti and Fortune quite often. Taking things even further, “Fine China” has more plays on my iTunes than both “Started From the Bottom” and “5AM In Toronto.”

Who do you think makes better music? As you decide, listen to the interview below.

Part 1: On his next album, “Started From the Bottom” and “5Am In Toronto.”

Part 2: On plans to release two songs next week, one which initially was a remix to “Started From The Bottom” now a DJ Khaled track with Rick Ross.

Part 3: On his relationship with The Weeknd and working with 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar and Future.

Part 4: On Lil’ Wayne’s health scare, beef with Pusha T, Rihanna and Chris Brown.
