In The Lab: Ciara & The Underdogs

Ciara is hard at work in the studio, prepping her “Epic” return. Most credit her gradual decline from notoriety to a lack of promotion and timeless records. CiCi plans on trumping the latter by enlisting the most notable songwriters and producers on her fifth studio album.

The latest confirmed writers and producers areHarvey Mason, Jr. and Damon Thomas, collectively known as The Underdogs. They are responsible for Beyoncé’s “Listen,” Chris Brown’s “Turn Up The Music,” Jordin Sparks’ “No Air” and many more. Can they equip Ciara with a career-defining song to reintroduce her to a mainstream audience?

I honestly think she's going to come back with something hot. Basic Instinct was actually a hot record to me so I think she's going to bring it back this time around. I loved her first two albums; those will remain classics.
