Alicia Keys Goes For A Walk In New York

Earlier this week, Alicia Keys was spotted in all black, toting her Blackberry, showing off her curvaceous figure. She was joined by her assistant and brother Cole Cook, who sported her husband’s budding Reebok line.
The Grammy-winning singer is currently producing Stick Fly, a Broadway play about an affluent black family in Martha’s Vineyard, opening in December.
“This is a story that everybody can relate to,” said Keys in a statement announcing her participation in the venture. “I’m passionate about this play because it is so beautifully written and portrays Black America in a way that we don’t often get to see in entertainment. I know it will touch all audiences, who will find a piece of themselves somewhere inside this house.”

Trey Songz Promotes Rocawear Fragrance On FOX [Video]

While in New York, Trey Songz appeared on FOX Business Channel’s America’s Nightly Scoreboard with Lori Rothman to promote Rocawear’s new fragrance, “Evolution.”
When asked to describe the “Evolution” fragrance, Trey says: “It’s masculinity, confidence, in a subtle way. It’s not overpowering when you wear it.”
Throughout the interview, Trey charismatically spoke on evolving as a person and artist, learning from Jay-Z and his career ventures.
Rihanna Fires Lawyer After Setback In “S&M” Copyright Lawsuit

Earlier this year, Rihanna was under fire and litigation regarding the images portrayed in her “S&M” music video. The video, directed by , bared striking resemblance to a photo shoot helmed by celebrated photographer and director David LaChapelle. He furiously insists the visual copies the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting” of his work.
Since, LaChapelle has won the pre-trial ruling; New York Judge Shira A. Scheindlin wrote in her decision:
“Both works share the frantic and surreal mood of women dominating men in a hypersaturated, claustrophobic domestic space. Thus, I find that an ordinary observer may well overlook any differences and regard the aesthetic appeal of ‘Striped Face’ and the ‘Pink Room Scene’ as the same.”

Thursday, August 18th, Young Money’s Jae Millz celebrated the release of his mixtape The Flood: Category 5 with celebrity guests including Trey Songz and Tank, along with label-mates Lil’ Twist and Gudda Gudda.
Judging from the pictures, it’s safe to assume which girl ‘Mr. Steal Your Girl’ stole from the South Beach nightclub.
FOX News Attacks Chris Brown… Again [Video]

Chris Brown is obviously ratings gold. Anchor Andy Levy, who desperately wants attention and Twitter followers, made a satirical apology after unnecessarily responding to one of Brown’s tweets.
The bigot released the worthless statement on the racially motivated FOX News. Following his tweet, Levy entertained Brown’s army of fans by attacking their literacy and grammar skills. The intolerant douche recently celebrated is 45th birthday, whereas Brown’s fans are largely teenagers; what adult harshly criticizes adolescents for their lack knowledge?
Chris showed his maturity by wittingly responding to the failing comedian.

Jay-Z Celebrates ‘Watch The Throne’ In Miami [Video]

Hip-hop cash king Jay-Z made a trip down to Miami’s Liv nightclub, with the intention of breaking the bar’s ‘bottle-popping’ record. As anticipated, he accomplished this with a reported $250,000 tab - the largest bottle service the club has ever seen. This tab included a 15-liter bottle of Ace of Spades, which was valued at $100,000.
Star-studded guests including Ne-Yo, DJ Clue, Meek Millz, Kim Porter, Flo Rida, Ace Hood and A-Rod came out to celebrate the release of Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne.
Teairra Mari Arrested For Drunk Driving In Beverly Hills

R&B chanteuse Teairra Mari is under fire for resisting arrest after being stopped for a DUI. According to sources, the 23-year-old “Sponsor” singer was driving a silver Infiniti through Beverly Hills around 3:00 AM, when she rear-ended the car in front of her.
Police reports say they observed “signs of intoxication” from Teairra and proceeded with arresting her for driving under the influence (DUI). A person on the scene tells TMZ Teairra was “really messed up…she couldn’t even stand.”
While being booked, the Lottery Ticket‘s inner Detroit demons surfaced. Allegedly, she became “combative” with one of the arresting officers, where her suffered a “minor cut” to his hand during the incident.
Unfortunately, she now faces multiple charges - DUI and assault on a police officer.
Mari’s bail is reportedly $50,000, and it hasn’t been posted.
Trey Songz Parties With Will Smith At Charity Event In Miami

Atlanta’s own B.o.B hit the stage with OneRepublic at VH1′s 2011 Do Something! Awards to perform “Good Life,” the fourth single from their sophomore album Waking Up. The band’s frontman Ryan Tedder was experiencing difficulty keeping his breath, to say the least.

Pop superstar Lady Gaga has been enlisted to open up the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. She joins the star-studded performance roster Adele, Chris Brown, Lil’ Wayne and Bruno Mars.
“I’m just so excited, I can’t wait and I’ve been planning it for a week,” Gaga said on an MTV special.
In addition to performing, Gaga is nominated for four awards, including Best Female Video (“Born This Way”), Best Art Direction (“Judas”), Best Choreography (“Judas”) and Best Video With a Message (“Born This Way”).
The MTV VMAs will air on Sunday, August 28 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

Solange Knowles and son Julez step out fashionably correct at INC’s International Concepts press preview at Macy’s in New York City. The 25-year old singer/songwriter and DJ developed a signature style that is recognized by fashion heads abroad.
