New Music: Chrisette Michele x Lem Payne “Dear Miss Audrey”

Soulf singer  Chrisette Michele has released “Dear Miss Audrey” which features her brother Lem Payne. Prior to the release of her new album, Let Freedom Reign (11/30), Chrisette will be releasing a mixtape on this Friday (11/5) as a gift to her fans. The mixtape titled Love Thy Brother is a compilation of previously recorded songs from earlier sessions.

You have to love the randomness of her singing to Audrey Hepburn.

Trailer: Kid Cudi ‘Man on the Moon II’

I know Halloween was yesterday, but the Cudder has released the trailer of a horror film for his upcoming album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager (11/9). I know Kid Cudi songs sometimes come from a dark place, but I hope his upcoming album isn’t this dark.
What is a nightmare, is Cudi’s problem with intoxication. See more below.

Chris Brown Joins Wiz Khalifa On Stage

During the Houston’s House of Blues stop of “Waken Baken Tour”, Wiz brought out “Yeah 3x” singer Chris Brown. Chris didn’t do anything significant to the “Black & Yellow” performance besides dancing of course. To be honest, I’m not sure why Chris was there, I guess they are working on music. shrugs

Monster Monday: Swizz Beatz “Bang Bang!” ft. Pusha T x Pharrell

"Bang Bang!" song cover

Swizz Beatz continue his Monster Monday promise by releasing “Bang Bang!” this week. The track features Pusha T and Pharrell. Let’s cue Kanye and tell him that punctuality is key!
The beat is dope, but overall the track is ok. Some of the lyrics in the chorus bother me a bit…

Video: Rihanna Performs on X-Factor

Rihanna performed “Only Girl (In The World)” on the X-Factor and she did much better than her SNL performance. The concept and performance was over-th-top and fun, and her vocals weren’t that bad. If she practices more she’d sound better. But the saying is: “Don’t fix something that isn’t broken”. She sells regardless.

Kelly Rowland Performs In Paris

R&B singer turned Pop/Dance sensation Kelly Rowland performed at 2010 Fun Radio’s Star Floor concert series. Ms. Kelly performed “When Love Takes Over”, “Commander”, and “Forever and a Day”. It has never been a question whether or not she’s talented, but she never seemed to have all the ingridients for the gumbo. During this performance, Kelly came prepared. It’s like some performing God took over her body during “Commander”. Watch the performances below:
