Previously mystic and still largely unfamiliar, Ryan McDermott is the latest act to join the G.O.O.D. Music imprint and the fourth singer behind John Legend, Mr. Hudson and Teyana Taylor. Intentionally so, this clique undoubtedly takes great influence from Soul; each act bearing a unique tone that would only compliment great material.
That’s our stance with McDermott. Sure his voice isn’t incredibly remarkable, but paired with simply effective production in songs like his debut record, “Paradise“–it works. Read More
Kanye West was the source of entertainment at the launch party for Samsung’s Galaxy Note II at Manhattan’s Skylight. While running through his set of auto-tuned hits, he brought out his GOOD Music affiliate 2 Chainz to peform their party anthem, “Birthday Song.” Read More
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian is arguably the most attention-hungry couple of all time (in my best Yeezy voice). One way they maintain their high-profiled presence is by making sure the paparazzi capture them leaving the swankiest restaurants in their high-priced threads.
The typical series of events quickly went awry in Miami when a female paparazzo enlightened Kim that her ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush was having dinner at the restaurant across the street and asked her did she want to go and congratulate him on his pregnancy. Read More
Kanye West blessed RZA’s Man With the Iron Fists soundtrack with “White Dress,” a romantic tune that isn’t so dreamy. Though the content maybe relative to the film, it seems that Kanye, yet again, takes jabs at his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose. Listen to the song below and tell me what you think.
RZA’s The Man with the Iron Fists will hit theaters on November 2, 2012. It’s accompanied by a killer soundtrack, which features contributions from Wu-Tang Clan, Wiz Khalifa and Corinne Bailey Rae.
One of the more anticipated tracks on the compilation is Kanye West’s “White Dress.” ‘Ye returns to the sound that captivated the world, unlike his recent material. Preview the record below before the soundtrack hits stores on October 23rd. Read More
Yet again, Kanye West is on a quest to convince everyone he is an artist. Unlike the ridiculous movie for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Mr. Kardashian simply sits down for a face-to-camera conversation about Cruel Summer. Read More
What’s a frustrated hook man to do when they are not being credited for penning certain songs? They take to Twitter to vent. And that’s just what Roscoe Dash did.
According to Mr. Dash, he was not properly credited for contributing to G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer. He even says his adlibs can be heard on “To The World.” He adds: he penned the chorus of Wale’s ”Lotus Flower Bomb” but was not credited for that either. Read More
Hosted by Mike Epps (again), this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards has seriously puckered up its lips for a Kanye West appearance–nominating the Cruel Summer craftman in almost every category, including Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year and Producer of the Year.
Clutching a whopping 17 nods, 2 Chainz and Drake follow close behind with 13 and 11, respectively. The show, infamous for the raw and unpredictable (“Hi Rihanna“) cypher, is set to air on BET on October 9 at 8 p.m./7 central.
