While Fox scrambles to find permanent judges for their talent shows, American Idol and The X Factor, NBC is rotating The Voice‘s judging panel with no drama included.
Usher filled Cee Lo‘s rotating chair while he was out releasing cheaply made videos, and Shakira sat in Christina Aguilera‘s warm chair while she was out running from Lotus. All that running paid off, though; Xtina lost a ton of weight.
Due to fickle promotional efforts, Christina Aguilera’s Lotus never rose as described on the incredible intro; however, the wailing diva still managed to score a hit record by way of Pitbull’s gold-selling “Feel This Moment.” Read More
During last night’s episode of NBC’s The Voice, judges Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, host Carson Daly, social media correspondent Christina Milian and the contestants held plates bearing the names and ages of the Newtown massacre victims while they covered Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Read More
As consumers, it seems we like our pop stars fully equipped with zeal, massive radio appeal and a knack for getting busy on a dance break. Unfortunately, we’re only lucky if we’re afforded an act with stellar vocals–emotionally attached to the catalog and easily relatable to the listener. Despite a tabloid speer-headed “downfall” a few years back , Christina Aguilera has been our answer to the generics since her debut.
As a Pop supreme, Aguilera has churned out some of this and last decade’s most compelling ballads, including “Beautiful,” “The Voice Within”, “Hurt,” and “You Lost Me”. Take a listen to “Blank Page“, the latest piano-driven love story lifted from her forthcoming album, Lotus. Read More

Xtina’s fellow The Voice mentors, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton, are the only guest features. Alex da Kid, Max Martin and Candice Pillay molded the sound.
Snippets of the album’s content have surfaced ahead of its release. Check them out below. Read More
Have you ever been an avid viewer of a show, missed an episode and suddenly realized how insubstantial it was to you? That’s what happened between myself, The Voice and X Factor. The feats pulled by the producers and judges to exploit the contestants for ratings had stepped on my last nerve. Additionally, my attention was already drifting, thanks to better-scripted TV like Scandal and Once Upon A Time and my anticipation for American Idol. However, I don’t like leaving anything incomplete, so I feel slightly obligated to review the remainder of the season. Read More
A nude Christina Aguilera blooms on the cover of Lotus (11/13). Ironically, the grainy cover is quite angelic, much like the “Your Body” cover. She says Lotus represents “an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest conditions and still thrives,” which can be interpreted as a testament to her career. Read More
