When news broke that Beyoncé and André 3000 would be covering Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black,” admittedly, I cringed. After listening to the very brief snippet in The Great Gatsby trailer, I realized the potential brilliance of putting a hip hop spin on the record. However, now that I’ve listened to the 90-second snippet, I’m cringing again…uncontrollably.
