Over a year ago, a debate erupted on my Twitter timeline, involving veteran rapstress Lil’ Kim and whether or not she could make a comeback.
I proposed she join a crew where an aggressive male could co-sign her. 50 Cent/G-Unit was the first collective to come to mind. They already have history – “Magic Stick” and “Wanna Lick” – and they both are quite controversial.
In July, Kim made a random appearance with G-Unit’s then latest member Shawty Lo at Atlanta’s Birthday Bash. In August, Fif and Kim performed “Magic Stick” together live for the first time in Perth, Australia.
Recently, she was snapped in the studio with producer Paris Paige. 50 Cent, his friend Floyd Mayweather and more G-Unit affiliates were also there.
