Listen: Kelly Rowland ‘Number One’ [Snippet]

Produced by noted producer, Mike WiLL (Made It), a brave new Kelly Rowland snippet has surfaced online that sees the entertaining vixen swim past her dance-inspired efforts for a R&B-driven showcase. Titled, “Number One“, the record is lifted from Mike WiLL’s forthcoming mixtape, as well as Rowland’s hopeful new opus, Year Of The Woman.

Foolishness Commences At The 12:46 Mark

Though the snippet is short enough to bait Rowland’s sturdy fan base, it’s fair to say the sensual number provides a smooth, current and vocally improved listen-a consecutive stride for both the songstress and producer. What distracts from this, is the manner in which the record surfaced. Most of the footage before and after the snippet is a distasteful association with her music.

Highly-sought producer, Mike WiLL (Made It) readies the release of his new mixtape, Est. 1989 Part 2.5, which is set to include nine exclusive records. Though Brandy, B.o.B., Juvenile and Rihanna are definitely included in the set, new songs appear from Kelly Rowland, Future, Trinidad James, Chief Keef, Jim Jones, Juicy J and Gucci Mane.

The tape is hosted by DJ Drama and will drop this Christmas Eve. Head to Complex to check out the complete track list.
