School is in session. Professor Jay-Z is reading an “Open Letter” to the class with music provided by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland.
Evidently, Mr. Knowles-Carter is irritated by the media’s coverage of his controversial trip to Cuba and news of him divesting ownership of the Brooklyn Nets, so he went in the booth, recorded a musical version of Wendy Wiliams’ Hot Topics and basically mocked everyone that had something to say. He even discussed bringing Roc Nation to Universal Music Group.
Of course he spoke on his riches and even boasted about being “A boy from the hood got White House clearance.” He also mentioned a conversation with the President where he claims Obama said, “Chill you gon get me impeached.” Jay responded by telling Obama, “you don’t need this shit anyway, chill with me on the beach.”
I’m hoping this dialogue is fictitious and just another ploy by Jay to prove that all other rappers are insignificant when compared to him. I can already see the “Jay-Z Advises…” headlines now. Choosing friends wisely just isn’t soemthing the President does well, huh?
Listen to Jay-Z’s “Open Letter” below.
In other Jay news, he has unveiled the lineup for the “Made In America” festival. Beyoncé is headlining and Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miguel, Solange, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Emeli Sandé and AlunaGeorge are among the performers.
