Making a buzz by conversing with the likes of Jay-Z, Mara Hruby is the freshest face to the music industry. The soulful, and soft-spoken songstress cites Mariah Carey, Al Green, Marvin Gaye and the most influential, Amel Larrieux, as her inspirations.
On her EP, From Her Eyes, the Oakland, CA native covers music originally sung by men and puts her own spin on them. The most notable, her cover of Mos Def’s “The Panties” from this 2004 effort “The New Danger.”

If you love André 3000, Erykah Badu, or Sade, I’m sure you’ll love Mara Hruby.
