Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s is still churning out singles from their collective album, Watch The Throne. According to HHNM, the Frank Ocean-assisted ‘ No Church’ is the next single lifted from the album. It’s safe to expect an accompanying video, considering the song itself sounds like an opening to a Michael Bay film.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry’s cover of The Throne’s smash hit, “N*ggas In Paris.”

New Music: Robin Thicke Covers Whitney Houston’s “Exhale (Shoop Shoop)”

When he isn’t exhaling Mary Jane, Robin Thicke is in the studio utilizing his unique voice. His latest masterpiece is a stripped cover of Whitney Houston’s “Exhale (Shoop Shoop),” lifted from Waiting To Exhale‘s soundtrack. As expected, Mr. Thicke does Whitney proud.

“This is my tribute to the great Whitney Houston,” he tweeted. “Sending my prayers to her family.”

This past Sunday, Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt honored to Etta James at the Grammys. The R&B diva and country crooner performed James’ “A Sunday Kind Of Love.” We’d all agree the Grammy producers did a poor job with the short tribute.

Luckily, the Staples Center isn’t the only venue where one can pay tribute to the soul queen. During a jam session, Bay Area soulstress Goapele covered Etta’s classic love song “At Last.” Watch her angelic, yet powerful, rendition below…

JoJo Covers Rihanna’s “What’s My Name” In Utah

JoJo added a touch of soul to Rihanna’s Pop tune “What’s My Name,” lifted from Loud. Being the skillful vocalist she is, the 21-year-old didn’t have much difficulty covering the hit. She also performed “Disaster,” a single from Jumping Trains.

Cover Star: Siergio – “I Miss You”

Siergio delivers a visual for his rendition of Beyoncé’s Frank Ocean-penned “I Miss You,” a song lifted from her latest album 4. In the video, the Atlanta-based singer-songwriter’s relationship comes to a crossroad when his girlfriend decides to move to New York in pursuit of her dreams.

Siergio’s cover of “I Miss You” is featured on his mixtape Underneath The Covers, which includes covers of Melanie Fiona’s “4 AM” Wale and Miguel’s “Lotus Flower Bomb” and Chris Brown’s “Wet The Bed.”

Singer and producer Mike Posner covers Rick Ross, Drake and French Montana’s “Stay Schemin’,” a track lifted from Rich Forever. Mike tickles the keys as Blackbear joins him on the guitar. The duo keeps the original lyrics in tact (n*ggas = haters) while introducing an acoustic version of the song.

While opening for Alicia Keys during the “Freedom” tour, Robin Thicke closed his set with Lil’ Wayne’s “A Milli.”

Now that he’s hitting cities promoting his latest effort, Love After War, the blue-eyed soul crooner has updated his set list with another ever-popular hip-hop track. Janelle Monáe wore her signature black and white tuxedo as she delivered a great rendition The Jackson 5’s ’69 classic “I Want You Back.” The audience at Norway’s Oslo Spektrum was rather engaged and enthused, considering the performance was part of the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Rosario Dawson and Helen Mirren hosted the event, boasting performances by Jill Scott, Evanescence, Sugarland and more.

Meanwhile, the energetic songstress has prepped two new albums and a tour for 2012. As of yet, no tentative release date has been scheduled, but she promises to “release them according to [her] soul clock,” reserving her the right to release them when she see fits.

American Idol’s Syesha Mercado Covers Beyoncé’s “Love On Top” [Video]

In 2008, American Idol finalist Syesha Mercado was booted off the coveted talent competition. Since her Idol stint, the Florida-raised singer has appeared on Broadway as Deena Jones in the acclaimed Dreamgirls play.

Beyoncé popularized Deena’s character (for this generation) in the big-screen interpretation of 2006′s Dreamgirls. The movie became an instant classic, and songs like “Listen” and “One Night Only” became stapled melodies in most homes.

While warming up for a show in Chicago, the 24-year-old gave an awe-inspiring rendition of Bey’s “Love On Top,” a single from her 4 album.
