Well, sort of. “Hotel Rwanda” actor, Don Cheadle, portrays the popular animated superhero, Captain Planet, in a Funny or Die sketch, which is a comedy-based video website by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay‘s production company, Garey Sanchez Productions.
With clover-hued flip curls and hood vernacular to match, Cheadle uses fingers and his “boinker” to carelessly transform everyday citizens into green shrubbery.
Unreleased music from Nicki Minaj and her former team, H.O.O.D.S.T.A.R.S. surfaces, courtesy of DefPenRadio and is titled “Who Run This Motherf**ka“. The joint sees her spitting a grittier flow of running this motha than we’re used to from the “Fly” rapper. We’re not sure of the vocalist, but it definitely isn’t Nicki.
It’s good to hear music with this sound from the Young Money rapper, something that can’t remotely grace a Disney film soundtrack.
Speaking of cartoons, the cash queen is set to lend her voice to Ice Age: Continental Drift, the fourth installment in the series.
We recently reported to you that actress and mother, Stacey Dash, gave up her role as “Val” on VH1′s hit sitcom, Single Ladies, to be at home with her children who she says felt the woes of her strenuous location change.
Rumors are buzzing on the web that All Of Us actress, Elise Neal, will take on the role of “Val”. The rumor isn’t completely far-fetched, as the actress graces the September double-issue of Denim magazine, with Single Ladies’ “Malcolm”, played by D.B. Woodside on the opposite side.
Neal is coasting off of a previous relationship with VH1 back in 2009, when she, along with Melyssa Ford and Claudia Jordan, were working on a reality show for the channel titled, Single, Sexy & Starving.
In the midst of the NBA lockout, Jim Buss acquired control of the Los Angeles Lakers from his father, Dr. Jerry Buss, and one of his first acts of business was to terminate or not renew the contracts of many long-time employees, many who had been the franchise since the 1980s.
About 20 employees were laid off to cut costs before the lockout, including assistant general manager Ronnie Lester, four of the five athletic trainers and the entire scouting department, namely former head coach Rudy Tomjanovich.
As an act of generosity, Laker captain Kobe Bryant and NBPA President Derek Fisher voted to give around $65,000 of money earned in the play-offs to two former employees, Chris Bodaken and Patrick O’Keefe, let go before the lockout. O’Keefe says,
“He always looks out for people who are lower on the totem pole,” O’Keefe said.
Bodaken adds,
“At the end of the day, he told us he was going to take care of us and he did, and that’s not how most people in the world operate. He not only talks the talk. He walks it.”
Both men hope to be rehired by the team once the lockout ends, but the financial contributions by Bryant and Fisher will certainly help the staff during this period of league uncertainty.
“Last wishes n**gas, smoke my ashes.“- a line from Tupac’s unreleased track “Black Jesus“, which The Outlawz (“Hit ‘Em Up”) claim as the stimulus for smoking the ashes of the late emcee said in a video they released through VladTV.
The group, which was founded by Tupac, says that mother of the slain rapper, Afeni Shakur, was present at the time of the session, which was during a family memorial.
A family spokesperson rejects this claim and tells TMZ no one in the Shakur family ever signed off on it, especially his mother, Afeni. The rep. says no one in the family would ever approve of the act.
Despite the huge mishap, the family currently doesn’t plan on pursuing legal action against The Outlawz.

Stacey Dash has come clean about the truth of her status as “Val” on VH1‘s Single Ladies. The 45-year old actress has decide to leave the show to be back with her children. She released this statement…
“I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’, but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one,” Dash says.
Vh1 also released an official statement concerning the ordeal…
“VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans.”

Teen pop phenom, Justin Bieber, is getting gangsta on his upcoming Christmas album, it seems. DJ Drama, host of hip-hop mixtape series, Gangsta Grillz, posted a twitpic of the two in the studio together.
Bieber is taking the non-traditional path with this one, announcing via Twitter…
“So it’s true…been in the studio doing something special for Christmas. We are going to try and raise alot of money this year for charity!”
A source says Bieber will be recording his own original Holiday tunes instead of re-doing existing classics. No fret, the 17-year old will remix one classic Christmas song.
