“Get this paper and slam these doors!” Weeks ago, Big K.R.I.T. released his major label debut, Live From the Underground, to rave reviews. This past Tuesday, he showcased his lively charisma on Conan’s stage during his performance of “I Got This,” a single that makes me nostalgic for Three 6 Mafia.
One of the few soldiers keeping R&B alive, Robin Thicke, brought his dynamic vocals to Tuesday’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He performed Love After War’s “All Tied Up” in his usual manner–suit, live band and old-school flare. [Video: MWP]
“I’ll never stop breaking the law for you,” assures soulful songbird Emeli Sandé. Though the metaphorical songs can be interpreted in many different ways, Emeli wrote the touching tune with her law graduate sister in mind. She also performed “My Kind of Love,” my favorite track from Our Version of Events, for the orderly Le Grand Journal crowd.

Pop titan Katy Perry tried her best to keep the Hollywood Boulevard crowd entertained for Jimmy Kimmel Live!. She performed her latest singles, “Wide Awake” and “Part of Me.” Coincidentally, a part of me fell asleep while watching her gurgle through both performances. [P.A.]
Last night, Justin Bieber brought his stiff “Boyfriend” routine to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Unfortunately, the manic screams from the Beliebers were not enough to drown out his pitchy singing. Despite the shortcomings, he performed live and sadly, that is applause-worthy considering most showings by pop acts. [Video: MWP]
