Rihanna goes topless on the cover for her seventh album in seven years, Unapologetic. A scribbling of the album title covers her nipple, while other scribes describing the Bajan superstar are written over her body. The cover and title are quite fitting, considering the 24-year-old’s sudden desire to give 0 f*cks about how she’s portraying herself to the masses. Unapologetic is due out on November 19th, the same day as Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up.
Speaking of Nicki, she too has unveiled the cover for the re-release of her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up. Like Rihanna, the cover is fitting for Minaj’s demeanor–disorganized, unprofessional and out of focus. It looks as if one of her younger fans took a video still and layered it with basic font effects.
Keyshia Cole’s cover, on the other hand, is simple, yet effective. It reflects the emotion within the song, “Trust And Believe.” Sure it’s just a rainy photo with a basic font, but in this case, less is more. Keyshia’s album is due out on November 19th, too.
