Yet again, Rih has provided aural stimulation in the form of a first single. Like “Russian Roulette,” “Only Girl in the World” and “We Found Love,” “Diamonds” is a game-changing, catchy Pop record filled with substance. For that alone, the Bajan beauty deserves an applause for her consistency.
Like the bulk of her hits, Rih had very little to do with the crafting of the record. Stargate handled the boards, while Sia penned the lyrics, whose signature sound shines beyond the obvious Lana influence.
