President Obama uploaded the above picture to his Twitter with the caption: “A couple supporters in a New York state of mind last night.”
Jay-Z and Beyoncé, the couple of supporters, hosted a fundraiser in support of President Obama’s re-election campaign at New York City’s 40/40 Club. Charging $40,000 per head, they raised a reported $4 million. The Commander-in-Chief obviously enjoyed the company of Hip Hop’s First Family and had high words for the couple.
“We both have daughters. And our wives are more popular than we are,” President Obama said when speaking on he and Jay’z commonalties. “So we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard, but it’s OK.”
“Beyoncé could not be a better role model for our daughters because she carries herself with such class and poise,” he continued. “And has so much talent.”
