After settling from the high of his debut, Finally Famous, Big Sean is ready to go at it once again–prepping a mixtape, a spot on G.O.O.D. music’s Cruel Summer and a sophomore LP. The mixtape, titled Detroit, is said to be truer to the 24-year old’s sound…much like his forthcoming album.

The mixtape is expected to drop September 5th. Meanwhile, his follow-up to 2010′s ‘Famous‘ is confirmed to include J. Cole and Juicy J, with Cruel Summer’s preceding release on September 18th.
He tells Complex,
“It really is elevating, taking it to a different level. I don’t even want to hype it up or talk too much like, “Yeah, my album is the shit!” I just can’t wait for everyone to hear what I’ve been doing, what I’ve been cooking up. We’re figuring it all out. I don’t know the title of the album. I know it’s coming out this year.”
