No one knows exactly what DJ Khaled does, but one thing is for sure, his name and face are always stamped closely to some of music most celebrated recording artists.
Justice League crafted a haunting beat for his Kiss the Ring album. Both Scarface and Nas laced the production with their brilliant wordplay, discussing a woman (“Hip Hop”) they both f*ck(ed). DJ Premier provides his scratching expertise to the track.
Earlier in the post, I questioned DJ Khaled’s involvement in these tracks. Well, I have been put in my place. Khaled released a behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Hip Hop,” where he is shown working the director’s chair. Like he said, the ‘song is a movie’ and he is Tyler Perry. Would TP (or any director) put themselves on the cover of a movie they aren’t starring in, though?
