Although many consider Miguel the Prince of our time, the burgeoning funky singer considers the comparison an overstatement. Opinions aside, it is a fact that Miguel offers uniqueness and authenticity in his music, something his contemporaries fail to execute.
He displays this distinctiveness in his video for “Adorn,” a song that appeared on his Art Dealer Chic EP and will appear on his forthcoming album, Kaleidoscope Dream (Oct. 2).
In the video, the relaxed-hair divo invades a smoky, abandoned school where cheerleaders cheer as he seduces masked women and runs from back-flipping gymnasts. I’m not particularly fond of the video, but I’m sure somewhere behind the complication, it has sentimental meaning for him.
