“I go above and beyond for my fans, but [I] won’t ever go against [Lil’] Wayne’s word. What he says goes,” slavishly said Nicki Minaj after being pulled form Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert lineup.
It all started when Peter Rosenberg, a Hot 97 radio personality, publicly (and inappropriately) criticized Minaj’s pop smash, “Starships.” When Lil’ Wayne received the news of the “diss,” he pulled Young Money from the lineup.
Following Rosenberg’s statements, Nicki’s assistant and hype man, Scaff Beezy/Safaree, threatened Rosenberg via Twitter.
YOOO PETER ROSENBURG WHEN I COME TO SUMMA JAM YOU GETTING PUNCHED IN YA FUCKING FACE U FUCKING PUSSY!!!!!!! I PROMISE U NIGGA!!!!!
Minaj also followed with a series of tweets speaking on the incident. She claimed Hot 97 ruined a historical night, and she won’t accept a white person on a black radio station disrespecting black women (although Rosenberg never belittled her, only the song).
Reportedly, Nas and Foxy Brown were among the surprise guests in her lineup. When news spread that Minaj had joined forces with Foxy, of course their nemesis, Lil’ Kim, liberated her feelings on the matter.
Hot damn ho here we go again. Monkey see monkey do. I heard the haters are joining forces against the Queen. LMAO !!!! Have a great show!!! Break a leg!!!! Hahahaha!!!! My love for the female hip hop movement has always been genuine. All the females I’ve been bringing out recently I have love for. If u see anybody else doing it … Its not genuine …Know it’s only to copy and compete with me …….. For those of u who have been brainwashed by the fraud …Let’s open our eyes now people …the clone is not bringing ladies out for the luv. It’s strictly because I’m doing it ! Love u Team Kim and all my fans across the world ..they’ll believe one day very soon !! [Miss Jia]
Though Nicki did not perform, she still put on a stunt show for spectators. She posted photos of herself and Foxy partying. Will Nicki’s stunts ever end?
